Hi there, most of you may not remember me, ive not been on for ages and ages to be honest!! How are we all? The last time i posted i was planning on setting up my veg patch, and after much time, aches and pains (due to M.E) and inbetween working and being a mum, its finally done!!!! My husband was made redundant a few weeks ago (though hes back at work now) he built me a beautiful veg patch all caged and secured from our dogs with a door it looks lovely - you can just see it to the left of the picture (tilt your head, i cant figure out how to turn them round hahaha.

Now questions, my soil is a bit clayey so ive planted a few spuds to break it up, i figured it wouldnt be the worst thing in the world to do this, and some peas to grow up the sides. I also have a cold frame in there which im experimenting with strawberries i have strawberries to the back of my garden in the ground and also in a container in the cold frame with a blueberry bush in a pot, which isnt doing to good, but my question is should i be keeping the 'lid' to the cold frame on at all times to keep the temperature up or should i roll it up during the day and just put it down at night?? i think down all the time but i want to check. Ive got tomatoes seeds pea seeds and spring onions seeds in a seperate propogator, should i keep these indoors until they sprout or put them in the propogater in the cold frame.

    thaking you in advance.

    Happy gardening xx

Hi Debs very nice to,I would depending on the weather keep the lid down at the moment you never know with April , I would keep the Propagator indoors for now,but this is only my personal opinion , I am sure one of our more experienced friends will be along to advise you :)
