I have been gardening all my life having been started by my parents at an early age. I have about quarter of an acre of landscaped garden that, like Topsy, just growed rather than was planned.
Rather 'jungly' by choice it has been developed so that you cannot see very much at one time but have to keep going round corners to find out what is next.
My great joy is a small burn (stream) 10 feet lower than the main garden. It flows through the east boundary and I have built a bridge to hide the culvert where it flows under the main road.
With the first really cold snap, over the past two days, we have now started putting the garden 'to bed' for the winter and planning next year at the same time.
Enough for an intro I look forward to reading posts and sharing with the group.

    Welcome, Platanoides!

Lucky you having a stream in your garden, which sounds lovely and secretive!

We've been having beautiful weather, around 20oC, for the past few days following heavy rains, more of which are now due, but we are going into our rainy season so don't mind at all.

    Hope you enjoy the site!

Hi, Platanoides! Got your email, and have just answered it. Was out working in your neck of the woods this morning - you might even have seen my wee van.... :D
