Hi Diesel, welcome to Gardeners Corner. I'm sure some of our more knowledgeable lawn specialists will be along soon to give you some good advice. It might help them if you could tell us the directs your garden faces [North?, West?, South?, East?],

Also what kind of soil do you have?. When I moved into a new build many years ago the garden was just compressed clay, bricks, plastic sheeting, timber and bits of metal. Hopefully yours is more easier, although you can never tell what's under the newly laid turf:heehee: Some pics would also be appreciated to give members a better chance to answer your questions:thumbsup::snork:

Hi, my garden faces SSW and the soil under the turf was absolutely fine with all rubble removed.

Obviously, a more concerned builder than the ones that left the rubble around my House:heehee: I'm still digging up bricks and butterfly clips even after 30 years:gaah::snork:

    Hi Diesel,
a SSW facing back garden? Make sure you have a space for a seat and a :ccheers: to reward yourself after the hard work assembling your ideal garden.
Enjoy having a stroll around Gardeners Corner - others will be along later,
