Hi all, we live in semi-rural Gloucestershire, just outside the Forest of Dean, and are looking to set up a small vegetable garden. I don't really know where to start, when to clear the land, how/when to prep the ground or what order to plant things.

I have a great deal to learn!

Welcome to the forum! How nice to see new people at Christmas.

As you can see, I'm from the land where Santa feels quite at home pretty well everywhere due to our long winters so I may not be able to offer any great advice. I look forward to your posts :)

A number of members here have allotments and/or vegetable gardens so fire away with the questions, they'll be willing to help you along the way. :)

                          Welcome to GC :dbgrtmb:

Be prepared to dig the ground, add lots of compost and manure and leave it to settle over winter. That's a good basis for growing veg. It also depends on which veg you wish to grow.:)
