    Hi Everyone
Iv'e just returned to gardening after a good few years due to the hours I had to work. Iv'e made a new veg garden out of our drying green, which has never been dug before judging by the amount of huge stones and other things Iv'e dug up. I treated the area with Glysophate 360 ( The whole area was rough grass and other weeds ) then dug it over, planted it with Spuds Cabbage onions etc and to my surprise its now looking great with almost no weeds. The only real problems Iv'e had have been with Cutworms and leatherjackets but I seem to be on top of them now.

    Cheers

    Alfie

A big 'hello' from another newbie!
I can sympathise with your stone problem - we have created numerous paths and walls with the stuff we dug out to create our new lawn and pond las Autumn! I've also started a new veggie patch - but not had a lot of time this year to really do it justice... and our weeds are definitely fighting back!!! (The garden had been pretty neglected for most of last year by the previous owners, so we are reaping the old adage '1 years seeding makes 7 years weeding' - groan!)

    Hi All
Thanks for the lovely welcome, I think I'm going to like it here as it looks like I'll be able to find answers to any problems I encounter. Also a big hello to Anthony (Crofthouse) looking forward to hearing how you come on with your veg plot (I think you seem to had even more stones than me). Once again thanks everybody.

    Cheers

    Hi there ACE!

Warm welcome to GC! I can sympathize with your stone situation - I helped my mum dig out loads of stone from her plot years ago - some were big enough to go into what is now her Rockery!

    Happy Gardening
