    hello all,
Im a new lottie person just started in August.
My plot is covered in bindweed and crouch grass but I am slowly getting on top of it. Well half way down the plot actually. I think it may take me a year to dig it all over, as you know getting this stuff out is a pain.
Hope you all have helpful advise for this novice cos I need it.
I have planted some japaneese onions and garlic, oh and a cherry tree but that is about it.
My plot is on a 15 degrees slope from top to bottom so I am tiering it as I dig (should be growing rice on it !)
I hope to make them into raised beds eventually but the first year I just want to grow something !
Hope to hear from you all soon.

    Hello Wavy.
    Hope you like Gardeners Corner.
Your plot may seem like really hard work at the minute but give it a couple of years and I'm sure you'll reap the benefits.
    Keep smiling.

Hi Wavy, welcome and good luck with your new plot. If the work seems a little daunting, just clear half of it this year and half next so that at least you'll be able to grow something.

[IMG] I know it's the wrong time for planting wavy, but don't forget that growing potatoes is a very good way of "cleaning" the soil after you have dug & weeded. So if you can claer it, plant it with potatoes if nothing much else next year..!!! Good luck... It will be worth it..!! Honest..!! ;) :D
