Hi from the sunny Vale of Evesham

Hi. I'm Charlie . I'm very new to this gardening caper having never had the time or if I'm honest the inclination to have a go at gardening.. Shame I hear you all say ! But since my wife and I moved out into the wee village we live in now I just cant stop tinkering around ! Last autumn I planted loads of daffodils over the road along the grass verges near the house and they are up ! OK no prizes for growing daffs by all accounts but its awesome as far as I'm concerned. Just waiting for a frost to come and kill them off .....

Welcome Charlie. Don't worry, your daffodils won't be killed off by frost. Just enjoy the beautiful display you'll get in a couple of months. I hope you enjoy being on GC. You'll get a lot of good advice and plenty of fun and banter along the way. I used to hate the thought of gardening too and now I'm totally addicted

Would you care to give us a (general) location in your profile? Are you UK? North, South, East, West? ("Wee" as in small suggests a Scottish flavour? Perhaps? ) Doh! (Note to self: read the thread title before being a total Numpty Turnip and asking daft questions )

How large is your own garden and which direction does it face?
What style of garden do you think you would like to aim for?
What do you envisage you will use the garden for? (Knowing that will help you plan how you can incorporate the right things within it ).

Welcome to Gardeners Corner Charlie. I think all gardeners love daffodils, possibly because they are one of the first signs of spring and a new season. Enjoy your garden!
