    Hi Guys + Gals,

My name is Paul and I'm relatively new to gardening, I am quite the science nut so have a good understanding of the process' required for plants to grow and their reproduction. for the last couple of years I have been gradually morphing my balcony into a potted garden of tomato, sunflowers beetroot and salad leaves.

My first question is regarding my sunflower, which my daughter brought home from pre-school about a month ago it seems to be growing well and is approx 3ft now, I have noticed that on the lower leaves, on the underside are what appear to be little yellow blisters, it does not appear on any other leaves only the lower two as pictured... is this something I should worry about and if so what should I do about it?

    Many thanks in advance.

Welcome to Gardeners Corner Paul. :) The problem with your Sunflower looks very much like the pest Leaf Miner.

Thanks guys+gals, I have taken a look at that thread, I did notice the other day that the roots were showing in the bottom of the pot and did consider re-potting, I will probably do that Friday.
As for the friendly comp I will be very happy with a circa 5ft plant :hapfeet:as this will be my first sunflower of many :snorky:
