    Hi everyone,

Just over a year ago, at the back end of 2015, we moved from a small suburban heavy clay garden in Hertfordshire to 1.3 acres of sloping, north-facing, neutral/acid loam 4 miles from the North Devon coast. It's a bit different...

The front garden has a 'lawn' that is smothered with fritillaries.

The rear garden has borders near the house, mainly filled with montbretia, Alchemilla, geraniums, and weeds, but still pretty.

The far end of the garden is more of a field, so we are mowing some of it, and creating mown paths through the rest. It will become a wildlife area.

I am reasonably knowledgeable about some plants, but seem to have inherited some interesting things that are new to me. I will also be asking for help with identifying the varieties of plants, so I hope there are some experts here!

I look forward to sharing with you all!
