    ... hello. I've been thinking about cultivating plants lately, having never done it before (must be reaching a certain age where I need a hobby!). I do like cacti (largely low maintenance, I'm sure, but nice to look at), and am very interested in strange, exotic, otherworldly looking plants (Venus Flytraps, etc).

    I live in the south of England... and here's the clincher, I live in a flat and have no access to a garden, nor the funds to rent an allotment... nor do I drive... so my aspirations will be vague, and probably unattainable, so if I do throw some irritatingly naive, or even irrational questions your way, please be patient with me!
