Hi Clachtoll, welcome to the board.

You have a very attractive garden. It looks very well maintained.

These are pics of the garden from when we moved in (apart from the memorial garden) - the man was a very keen gardenener and i am now trying to maintain what he has achieved.

There are lots of shrubs and the problem that i have is that i often dont know what they are (identification isnt as easy as i thought it would be!!) - so i'm not entirely sure what/how i look after them. I am cutting the grass weekly just now and doing the edges and that seems to be working fine.

One area i do have a problem is the dogs part of the garden...

The brown patches from the dogs on the grass...is there anything i can do to help these?

Also how do i know what shrubs i can cut back and when (a lot of them have got very 'leggy')?

    Sorry, so many questions!!:o
