HI, We am starting on a third of an acre of absolute jungle and hope to grow our own veg and some fruit trees.
I have done a rainwater project which supplies y toilet etc and will also be used for the 'garden' and hopefully greenhouse.
    cheers

Hi Cortina welcome to the green fingered corner!

I'm sure in next to no time your jungle will become your own little paradise and that you are able to sit and relax after all the hard work has been done, although truth to be told I don't think any of us are able to relax in our own gardens as I'm sure we all just see another job that need doing or is that just me? :D

Your rainwater project sounds exciting and I hope you will be able to tell us all about it.

Don't go too crazy all at once look after your back!

Hi Cortina, one third of an acre of jungle seems an awful lot of work, good luck and welcome to GC.

Many thanks for the warm welcome, I will probably be asking loads of questions in the future.
To 'Helofadigger' if you want to know about my rainwater system just ask, it is all run on a 12v system, the batteries being charged by solar panels (running cots - nil)
    many thanks again
    cheers

Now that sounds very interesting my hubbie is always one to save on the pennies.

Was it your own idea Cortina or did you find the workings for the project on the web?

It was a mixture of my ideas, reading, asking, web searching and having a go and laughing at my mistakes.
    cheers
