Hi there! I am a new member who would like advice on various aspects of gardening from time to time - we are slowly changing our garden as our family have grown, our goal-posts have been dismantled and we do not use our 'football/cricket pitch' so often now!! I'd rather spend time pottering around in my garden than having to face a pile of ironing!! Thank you in advance you seem an extremely friendly bunch!! Look forward to browsing through the topics.

Thanks for your reply! I have a few questions re. trees etc - so will try and work out how to post my message on the tree forum??!! I'm afraid I may not be able to offer much in the way of advice to others, but it's great to read all the tips and advice that has been posted - very useful - I shall probably spend hours on here now reading it all!!

    Hi Susannah
Welcome to the group. On the main intro page just click on the 'trees' group Once you are there go to the top right hand corner and you will find a 'new topic' button --- just follow.
You can reply to threads easier by going to the bottom of the posted messages and use the 'quick reply' widow. That is the one I am using now to reply to you.
    All the best
    Platty

    You are already posting, Susannah!
Just do the same as you've already done, just inside whatever topic area is most relevant!

    Hi susannah,
I joined a little while ago. This forum is so friendly and helpful. You'll enjoy it in here. It's the nicest forum i've looked at.
I like you hate ironing. But i went the whole hog. I BANNED ANYONE WEARING ANYTHING THAT NEEDS IRONING.. [IMG] [IMG]

i do possess an iron, but i can't for the life of me think where it is.. No ironing table though.

Thank you all for your kind welcome! I have posted my first question on the Trees forum section so hope that someone will give me a bit of advice.

Re: this ironing lark - I love seeing the washing blowing dry on the line but it's just that bit between getting it in and wearing it that poses the problem. Two of my brood have flown the nest though so it really shouldn't be that bad - only my 'baby' left now (16yrs!!) and of course my hubby!!!

Now back to the question of that tree!!
