Can anyone identify this unusual Hibiscus, please? Apparently the flowers never open. It was my therapy purchase for today. [IMG]

Evening, strongy. Yes, I was told before I bought it because I asked what it was as it is so unusual. I know of it, it is Australian and is beautiful in itself but I can't find a link for it. It was the only one to be had so ... I like the unusal. [IMG]

The only autralian native species that doesn't seem to open fully is Alyogyne hakeifolia

Good morning, walnut. Two things wrong with Alyogyne hakefolia and mine are the leaves and the colour.

I've had a confirmation from the Fancy Hibiscus Society in America that what I have said is correct ... hurray! It's called the Sleeping Hibiscus. [IMG]
