Highlighted non viewed

Please can you tell me when the 'bold' goes from the thread?

I know I haven't looked at certain threads for a few days recently but they are coming as normal 'print' not bold. When does it shut off?

I think it is bold if it is more recent than your last visit (or when you last pressed the "Mark Forums Read"). In particular if you are also seeing a little icon to the left of the Subject that indicates that you have not yet read that thread (and if you press the icon that will take you to [i.e. scroll down to] the most recent post since your last visit / marked the forums as read.

Wow! I never knew that! Always something to learn!

 

I get the "New / Today" list up, go to the Next page [and again .. again ... :D] until I get to the oldest post SINCE my last-read time.

Then I work from the bottom up RIGHT-click and use "Open in new tab" for any thread that I may be interested in (paying attention to any that have the icon showing I have replied, any that have "0 replies" - i.e. new -and any where I remember the Subject etc.

When I get to the top of the list I then click on each tab, in turn, and read / reply. Then close that tab, and move on to the next thread / tab.

When I'm done with that I am back to the New Posts list TAB again. I press BACK (to get to the next-earlier page in the list), and work my way up from the bottom again RIGHT-clicking any that I am interested in.

Eventually I get to the top of Page 1 of the new Posts List, and I'm done.

Repeat as necessary ...

Sorry, bit hard to explain, hope it makes sense. Of course it may not suit you at all, if so please dispose of this post in a responsible manner :D
