Hi, I keep getting a waft of scent every time I pass this shrub - still flowering in mid September. Any ideas please?

This has also come into bloom - picture in next post down - over the last couple of days - looks like an aster but the stems are too short?

    ID appreciated please :)

    Thanks!

Many thanks - so an aster; yes, tall ones are coming into bloom nearby. And Golden Abelia - brilliant identification - thank you!!! :)
