Having been retired for a fair few years, it's a long time since I did one of those 'introduce yourself' pieces. Plus I've just had my 2nd glass of my favourite wine so it could all go horribly wrong, but hopefully not. I've been a keen gardener for many years, mainly just herbaceous perennials (latterly grasses) and a few greenhouse crops. In the last couple of years I've got serious about composting. Well ... I've always done it but have recently invested in a bigger two-bay system with the intention of supplying all our own mulch & compost. I've also invested in a large tripod ladder so that I now do the work that I'd have usually had to pay a professional to do. I'm always shredding down - hence the need for new bigger compost bays. But I'm still learning. Current fave plants include Anthemis 'E.C. Buxton', Eryngiums (especially 'Big Blue'), Agastache 'Blue Boa', Calamagrostis 'Karl Foerster' & Stipa gigantea. But that could easily change this coming year! I love taking photos of our plants, especially close-ups, so apologies in advance.

Thanks Pete. But none of those options get me to a signature. Just found some old discussions on this topic and I think it's an anti-spam feature that will resolve itself once I've been here for a while.
