Hi everyone, time for a wee introduction. I'm a 35 year old self confessed treehugging hippy at heart. I'm a nursery nurse/early years worker (job share) based in the nursery class of a primary school, working with 3-5 year olds. I live in a wee village in Scotland, with my hubby, 2 weans and a goldfish. Said goldfish's wee pal sadly departed last week to swim away over the rainbow. I have a fiesty, happy go lucky wee girl Charlie (5) and an...er..."challenging" wee boy Ewan (2). They don't call it the Terrible Twos for nothing.... We live in a new build, 3 bed semi, and other than a shed and a half hearted start on a small slightly raised bed in the corner it's basically a patch of grass. A blank canvas. Ideal! Except when you're full of big ideas, have little knowledge and well, literally no budget. So I'm here to find inspiration, ask advice and learn about gardening in the meantime. Hopefully by the time I have some money to start I will have a better idea of where to take my ideas and not make too many expensive mistakes. My mum is a great gardener and I have a long way to go before I know half as much as her! What little I know comes from her and The Beachgrove Garden. :D Likes: Ravens, crows, corvids in general. Music, a bit of everything but primarily I'm into goth/rock/punk/alternative stuff. Reading, pretty much anything. Partial to a glass of wine or 5. Rhinos. Curry. Dislikes: Jenny Meggies. Gales. Beer. Builders who ****** up the root systems of trees. Wasps. I'm not the shy and retiring type so I don't *do* lurking. I just jump in with both feet. Oh...and I have a tendency to blether too much... *para*

Hi RavenMad, Are we related, i notice an alarming number of my own traits :D anyone here will tell you the same :D I also hate wasps, they sting on purpose, it's like they have a constant hungover temper I also dislike pidgeons, they flock together in the late afternoons in summer discussing strategy for ****ting on my Jeep Oh before i forget, welcome! :D
of Mercy? :D I was never keen on wasps but I rapidly went off them after being stung on the belly button last summer. :( I bloody hate pigeons too, due to their random flight patterns in response to small children chasing them, causing me to make an eejit of myself ducking in the middle of the street. I quite like the wood pigeons that live in the woods at the bottom of the garden though. They're big and fat and make me chuckle.
The Hub once sat on a wasp :D :D :D .. nope didnt suck the sting out. still there as far as i know ..DEE
 Dug got a tick on his unmentionables once. He asked me to try and remove it but everytime I went near it it waggled it's legs and I nearly passed out.
