Ho, the Nematodes!

    Does anybunny have any experience with using these? Sorry if this has already been covered here. Pointers to other threads on the subject welcome, if you'd rather not type the same things out all over again :D
    I'd love to have a good year for hostas, but the little squishies keep eating them right down to the ground, or leave us with holy leaves later on (insert tiny slug halo here[​IMG] ).

    Used them against slugs and vine weevils. Found the UK climate too unpredictable for them to be effective. Back to Ferramol pellets and Provado! On the other hand, parasitic wasps against greenfly were brilliant.

        I've tried a few doses for slugs and two lots of vine weevil. It was expensive and I applied them in the correct conditions.

        So far I see no evidence that any of the applications actually worked. I guess I'll see in spring if the onslaught is any lower than last year... Our snail and slug population in Spring 2013 was utterly ridiculous so there 'should' now be a noticeable difference.
