    Hello everyone ,

I have a Dogwood on my garden balcony and have noticed holes of difference size (sometimes inside the leaf, sometimes eaten from outside ). Have not noticed any slugs, but have seen a spider like insect running across the leaves. Please help !

    thank you

    Welcome to Gardeners Corner :sign0016:

    Could be catterpillar damage.

How do I detect and kill these caterpillars? We live on the 5th floor , no trees, or anything green around. How are they supposed to come here ?

Butterflys or Moths I expect. If they are still around I expect they are hiding in the pot.

I had some slug damage on some potted Roses a while back so I immersed the pots in water for half an hour, should have seen what crawled out :yikes:
