We are off to Windy's neck of the woods in a weeks time - actually will be staying on a farm just round the corner from Jamaica Inn for a week. [IMG]

We stayed there last September and Emily loved it - it was mainly a sheep farm but as well as sheep they also had chickens, ducks, cows and two pigs (named after the two fat ladies) which Wmily could feed our leftovers to after dinner!.

They also had three dogs - 2 Collies and a Jack Russel which Emily adored and still talks about - they were all so gentle with her.

Bella Napoli for me this year in September.
The hotel is nothing astonishing but has been chosen because it is very comfortable for transports (to Pompei and Capri to make an example)and it is positioned just in front of the bay of Naples.
And of course to my parents place in north Italy for most of the main holidays.

I agree, NZ sounds wonderful. I belong to a NZ forum which is great.

Me, I live where people holiday and we haven't had one in ten years (and when we did we came here except when we went to the Azores in 1993, which is fantastic and would recommend it) and I don't mind because there is so much to do and see here ... as all who read Country Life knows!

Nothing as exotic for Mrs Pal and I I'm afraid!!
It's Dorset in two weeks time, near Weymouth. We normally go to Sennen Cove next to Lands End but it's just a bit too far a drive to take on at the moment.
Nice coastal path there I understand so the walking boots have being polished and the day packs sorted.. [IMG]

Turkey again this year. End of September. Fascinating country and wonderful people. Also the "brugs" grow 15 ft. high and the Cestrum Nocturnum flowers all round the pool, stunning!

Hi.LoL. I'm sure your country's charms are multiplied 1000 times by your presence but Portugal doesn't have the ancient Greek influence in it. It's a subject I've been interested in since I was at school. (A long time ago!)
