Spain in October - Seville, Granada and Cordoba.

Cyprus will be good in October, Strongylodon.

No holiday for us in 2010, but early 2011, we are planning to go to Cuba for 10 days.

My inlaws are planning a huge trip to France for 3 weeks as their 50th anniversary, they've been before but not to the countryside, i think its a wine tour they're doing.

    Devon in May
    Lake District in June
    Lake District in September
I usually go wandering in out of the way places in the winter. This winter we shall probably be travelling around Brazil (nearly 30 years since we were there last) and visit Mrs shiney's brother who lives there.
Then on to French Guiana where I want to also visit Devil's Island. This came to world attention when Emile Zola wrote his book "J'Accuse" in 1898 which eventually got Alfred Dreyfus pardoned. They also made the smash hit film "Papillon" (Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman) about the autobiography of one of the inmates (Henri Charriere) on Devil's Island.
Then I was thinking of travelling through Barbados, Dominica and St Barts on the way to Florida to see friends and relations.

A lot of planning to go into it yet.

Since I retired eight years ago we have been doing what we always promised ourselves - see lots of the world and this country whilst we are still able to :old:. Each year in the winter we take a long break and go touring - but not back packing :hehe:. We have managed over 40 countries plus many U.S. states and many U.K. counties. The long haul flights are begining to get to me but I will soldier on :old:.

We are fortunate to have friends and relations around the world so are able to stay with some of them :thumb:.

The Holiday line up for this year is:
Key West, Florida in May, for our yearly Mel Fisher group gathering with friends and all the festivities for 2 weeks.
Pittsburgh, PA end of July for the Nippon Convention and Cousin Reunion and a mini High school reunion.
Belize end of August, (never been--still researching), but resort booked.
October or November --Cancun, Mexico, went there about 8 years ago, back again same resort, it was nice.
    And thats it.
Husband making noise regarding England and the Olympics in 2012, we shall see. Have plenty of time shares to plug in around England and Ireland and Scotland for a nice tour around.

I'm going back to my fairytale castle end April/first May in Palmela in the Sado Region below Lisbon. Then we plan a castle trip up North in the Autumn to see the leaves changing.

Towards the end of April we'll start making a few shorts forays in the motor home mainly heading north and west for just a few days at a time as it's a busy time in the garden.
Then in June we are off to Zakynthos for our annual dose of sea, sun and living life alfresco. This year we've blown caution to the wind and bank balance out of the window as we are going for 4 weeks, but it's worth it just to wake up to this view every morning -

Thats great that you love to travel and are able to do so......thats pretty much what my inlaws have said too, they want to travel and enjoy it while they can and are able.

Like you, they have been to numerous places, including 21 days at sea(last year), and went to Amsterdam, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Russia.

We were hoping to go to Cyprus later on this year but things are a bit off course with Son in Law, who is not in good health. He and my daughter were being posted there and we intended to take full advantage of their home and pool:wink:
So it may well be Chard :D

At Easter we are going to Bavaria, Austria, Italy and Switzerland on a bit of a road trip.

Then at Christmas we are flying to New Zealand for a month, hope to do both North & South islands, very excited about it all.

You are going to have a great time in New Zealand :thumb:. Two years ago we spent a month touring both islands at Christmas/New Year. Absolutely brilliant :) :gnthb:
