HI there, we took over a new allotment last year, I have just dug out a "compost" heap that was left. It was a large pile of well rotted crumbly dark "composty" type material:old:.
So I am told, it was a leaf pile with other stuff such as house veg' and general garden clipping etc:thmb:.

As it is well rotted "composty" stuff, what is the best thing to do with it:cnfs:, is it suitable to put it in a large green house "planting box" to grow tomatoes in, will it be ok for general compost for plant posts etc.

    Look forward to your replies.

    Moon'

Personally I would spread it over the allotment as I would use some proprietary compost for Toms etc. grown in containers in the greenhouse.
