    So I was entering a Homebase tonight and saw the growbags reduced to 50p so bought 8 for 4 quid which I thought was cheap. But I got a 200 point till spit so went back in buying 2 for a quid handing over the till spit and getting back another 200 point till spit (worth a pound). This went on until the pallet was emptied.

    This may be local but as homebase is rebranding to Bunnings the own brand growbags will be getting reduced to clear now and keep an eye out for the other ownbrand composts maybe later in the summer too ?

      Goof find WeeTam, I need some compost and I've found that growbags are as cheap as anything just for soil conditioning. Pity I don't have time this weekend to visit Homebase.

      This was the Carlisle store,reduced to 50p as you enter the doorway. I tried my other local today and they had them for 1.99 and no reductions around.
      i got some strike rooting powder for 25p and provado bug juice for a pound. Only got triple point till spit but i was using another nectar card which is always useless.

        Did you get one scanned at the checkout? I found and old link for them that no longer works, so they appear to have been discontinued, I'm thinking of when Jacks Magic was reduced in price and a few stores still had the old price labels on them. Will check my local store later on.

        EDIT: None at my local Homebase, not even an empty space.

            @martin-f @kazzawazza any good?
            Been buying 3 for $10 70l bags in asda (my pound sign doesn't work) but there's quite a lot of straw in there, did use miracle gro at the start of the year, very wet and not that cheap at $12 for 3 50l bags. Used verve 70l bags last year and it was shiite.

                In my experience you have to be careful with growbags. I did a bit of a trial a couple of years ago: some of them contained bits of plastic, metal and unrotted wood, and some were absolutely sodden. JAB showing paratoxics & unrotted wood.JPG
