    Hi,

I'm attempting to make my own liquid fertilizer in a big water but barrel. I've filled it with primarily nettles and other weeds along with grass cuttings, small twigs etc and some chicken manure. I then filled the barrel with water and left it for 2 weeks. It now smells terrible.

How do i know what strength i need to dilute it down to for my plants?

    You don't.
    It's trial and error.
But err on the side of caution.
We don't know how strong your mix is, and neither do you.

I was told one part of the brew in ten of water. Safe enough however strong, And yes, a terrible pong, as I learnt the first time I made it in a bucket by the door.
