Horse Chestnut...Problem.

    Not so many conkers these days.
    In our region and many others they are being ravaged by a tiny leaf minor,I think it is called Cameraria Ohridella,it burrows into the leaves and causes them to fall early depleting the conker harvest........Autumn just WONT be the same.

    This was an isolated tree in the country and seemed reasonably unaffected.

    I've noticed it as well roders, not that many with leaves still on around here.
    I think there is another problem going around as well that affects Horse Chestnut, it causes the bark to crack and weep sap. I've seen a few dead ones with this problem
