Hi i ollected a conker years ago from a forest in my home town planted it and kept in a pot , when I got my own house planted it out its now 6ft tall in my garden I am concerned it will become a monster and will cause issues , I am prob worrying about nothing. I love them as trees just don't want to have to cut it down when it gets bigger , it's planted 30m from house and 7 m from shared stone Lane that runs past our house , is it a perfect place for tree and I will be dead and buried before it gets to big our should I dig it up now, see attached pic tree is planted were the white circle is, any experience our advice welcome

They actually grow quite fast once they get going, the place you have it looks to be ok to me but the decision has to be yours.
It looks a fairly rural location.

Given time - more than any of us have - it could turn into a very large and beautiful tree, maybe 100' high (over 30m) and 80' (about 25m) across, depending on conditions.

In rather less time, perhaps around 25 years, it could grow into a quite large and beautiful tree about 35' high (over 10m) and 25' (8m) wide.

Were that too big, you could pollard it, which would need re-doing every so often.

We'll all be long gone from this earth by the time the tree gets anywhere near being an issue. It'll be somebody else's responsibility then. With the right care and attention it'll outlive all of us and be a nice little legacy to leave behind. Enjoy it while you have it.

Another perhaps daft question do you need 2 horschestnuta to get conkers our is one OK? The tree I planted is two saplings that are growing in to each other but can't remember if the conkers came from same tree

One tree has male, female and hermaphrodite flowers. You will get conkers.

I'd leave it, it won't be a problem where it is.

I planted a few conkers about 30yrs ago, I only let one have its head, the otherone I kept got the cut back every other year.
The one I left is, at a guess, near 40ft, flowers and grows conkers for the last 10yrs at least.

They do get a nasty leaf miner problem these days which makes them look really tatty after mid summer.
I cant get a clear picture of the crown as its intermingled with a neighbours tree, but the trunk is pretty sturdy now and I think I will be lopping a few branched this winter.
The leaf miner just makes the leaves look awful.
