hoselock water system

hi like a lot of people use a hoselock to water there garden with ours there seems to be a problem , what is happening is when we water the plants the water is coming out of the spray attachment by its self we have changed all attachments but unsure why it is auto spraying thanks for any help and advice

 

Hi @Gizmo can you attach a picture of the attachment please? Depending on what sort it is, some of them have a trigger handle (and a little metal catch to turn them on permanently), but some don't.

 

It sounds like the trigger lock might be engaged.

 

hi thank you for your replys i took a picture as requested i have tried every thing including trigger

 

In that position it should be off.
But come on when you use the trigger.
This is on all the time.

 

May be the centre shaft needs a bit of oil to close properley or it as a worn shaft ,

 

Have you tried turning the round knob at the top of the trigger. It controls the volume of water flowing when the triggrr is squeezed.

 

many thanks for your replys i have taken some more pictures for you to look at as the water is still running while its in different positions

 

In picture two it should be off, not sure why it isn't.

hi thanks for your reply the hoselock is about 2 yr old , but after changing every thing apart from the hose its self i am rather confused

 

So what have you changed, the problem appears to be inside, for some reason when you release the trigger the spring is not closing it off.
Can you feel the spring when you use the trigger.

 

many thanks for your reply all though the trigger felt ok i decided to buy a new trigger and all works ok now thanks for your advice
