Any Hotmail users be aware that that there's a phishing mail on the go. It states that the user's Hotmail account has been blocked due to it being used to send spam mails.
    It isn't true!

Here's an edited extract of what I received in one of my Hotmail accounts -
    .................................

This e-mail has been sent to you by WindowsLive Hotmail to inform you that your account has been temporary blocked.

Why are you seeing this? Someone may have used your account to send out a lot of junk messages (or something else that violates the Windows Live Terms of Service).

We're here to help you get your account back. What do you need to do?

We'll ask you to login to our secured activation page by following the link below and re-activate your account:

I've deleted the link just in case anyone is tempted to click on it

But there are people who get their accounts hacked, used for spammimg and get that sort of message.

I'd get in touch (using other links) just in case.

If you hover over the original link and look at the address it isn't a genuine Hotmail one.
The easiest way to check messages such as the above is to use another email account and send an email to the one that's "suspended". Alternatively just send one from the "suspended" account to another one that you own.

There is an organisation - SORBS that blocks spam sending accounts.
