hi tig, it is a Peace Lily, my other half bought me one YEARS ago, and it became rather large and had to be repotted and repotted and so on...... I got lots of wee plants off it, so good luck & enjoy it.

Is this also known as a Sail plant, or is that something entirely different?

pf, it is also known as the sail plant but peace lily seems to be the more widley used name, some of the larger cultivars have a very heady scent.
