This is a nice one that I’ve done before from allrecipes.co.uk:
The topping comes out crispy on top, moist inside - simply delicious! It's a dessert that's quick and easy to make, too. Best served warm with vanilla ice cream or natural yogurt.
Ingredients
4 large Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and sliced
115g butter, melted
165g brown sugar
65g porridge oats
50g plain flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice

Preparation method
1. Spread the apples evenly in a square glass baking dish or deep-sided microwave-safe dish.
2. In a medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, oats, flour, cinnamon and allspice. Sprinkle this topping evenly over the apples.
3. Cook on full power in the microwave for 10 to 12 minutes, until apples can easily be pierced with a knife. Enjoy

Nice one Hartley - I have always enjoyed crumble toppings with the oatmeal rather than without - it does give that extra crunch :)

Well for apples cooked, I just peel & slice mine as normal but into a pyrex bowl. I add 1 desertsppon of water & cover & cook for 2 mins.. I then keep doing them on 1 or 2 minute bursts till I get the consistency I want for whatever recipe.. So then, to my apple pulp I then add sugar & spices to taste.. But for a pie I use this recipe.. Surely you could convert this for your micrco so that it is browned by the grill perhaps..????
