How many bees can you take a photo of on 1 flower?

    While wandering around my garden after a busy day with glass of plonk in hand I noticed a mass of bees and the odd wasp (grr) on my Echinops.
    I managed to snap a photo showing 4 altho there were 2 others on the other side of the flower. Maybe someone can beat this!? Picture 224.jpg

      Hi Silu,

      Five on the first pic plus 4 at the back and 7 on the second pic plus 4 at the back. We need a 360 degree lens, Silu!! Echinops is obviously a very attractive plant for the Bees:snork:

        Well that's me well and truly beaten:) great photo well done and yes Echinops do seem to be a real favourite of bees.

                    No, the blue globe of flower is very soft, as is the large dark green leaves, while the stems are smooth.:snork: It's very reliable, very tough, and as you can see it's a real attraction for the Bees.:snork:
