    Hi Everyone

I'm trying to secure a small field in my village for an allotment and the land owner has asked me to find out what other people are paying/being charged.

Would some of you be kind enough to post with:

    the size of your plot.

    what you pay per annum.

an quick list of what facilities are included.

    Thanks so much in advance.

Hi, unfortunately I don't know the size of our plot, but we pay £20 per year. The allotments are secured, so we also pay a £10 key deposit (one time cost). It includes water, but we do have a no buildings rule due to it being on the side of fields, and buildings would really destroy the beautiful scenery.

    .
Hi my plot is about 70 by 30 feet!

It now costs £ 25 per season, up from £16 the last few seasons.

The plots were completly open, though some of us has enclosed them, to try and keep the rabbits pigeons, pheasants etc at bay. But we cannot keep out the thistle seeds etc blowing in from the neglected plots, the manager is completly useless in making the useless tenants keep the weeds down.
But worse still he lets them have them the following season, he does not care as long as they pay the rent, maddning for those of us who run tidy plots!

    No water though.

Apparently they were there from about the First World War

    Good luck in your quest!

We have three plots now a big one about 75ft x 60ft or so and two little ones at 30ft x 75ft each.

We have an on going deal (at least for the next two years) where we only pay for two plots at £8 each per year and we fixed the price on that but it was more than the guys on the committee wanted to charge us they couldn't believe it when we said we would pay more!

We do have to pay for 3 water rates at £5 each so all in all the total price we pay for our allotments is only £31 per year which is I think incredibly cheap for all the enjoyment we get out of it.Hel.xxx.

Sorry for the delay in saying thanks, been a bit busy with my day job, now time to concentrate on the allotment quest again. Quite a varied response there, both in charges and what's provided. Thanks again, I'll let you know when I make progress.
