If I could afford it then I wouldn't be thinking how much is it worth, but as I can't afford it, I'd nick the design and build it myself from scrap/offcuts wood. In fact might just do that! :) Thanks Robert.

Just occured to me, did you build it yourself? :)

Nice birdtable. Are you making them and wanting to sell them but don't know how much to charge?

Depends where you live, on the Isle of Wight you'd be lucky to get a fiver out of the tight fisted old bats that live round here:mad:

it's very nice though:thmb: wouldnt know what to pay for it mind you:wink:

Yes I did make it myself. :gnthb:
    Just for a dear friend.
No I am not going into business making and selling them.
It took in total about 10 hours of my time.
    Terrier.. you want the dimensions???

Seems very nice. But I'd have too many visits from the squirrels --easy reach. And after while bird poop would layer up on the platform so I'd have to hose it down so extra work for me. And then probably repaint it in few years more extra work. All it all, sorry not practical for my needs.

    It's lovely Robert :)

Well I have seen some cheap ones at about £20 but nowhere near as nice as yours.
I'm sure whoever you made it for will be delighted, I would be :)

Poop can be a problem redstar. But we have had so much heavy rain lately it will get power washed quite often!

As for painting / protection... i made one for myself several years ago from the same materials, mainly untreated pine and it shows no sign of decay yet. I have never treated / painted it. The pine for the famework and table is 1" thick so I suppose that will help give it a longish live.

    Oh yes. the cost?
    £100

You could have easily made £200 on that Capney, how generous of you-slatted roof and everything-if only I was smaller lol..

I think it is lovely! One thing I find though, is that in North America people are willing to pay extra for something made nicely by hand, whereas here, it seems that if it is homemade, the worth goes down? Just my thoughts from having done craft fairs etc. here and at home with exactly the same type of product.
Anyway - no idea whatsoever, what I'd be willing to pay, I'm one of those that looks at the price tag and then decides if it seems reasonable enough. But.....it does look lovely and I'm sure your friend will be absolutely delighted with it!
