as per title and whats the best type/brand/thing of lawn seeds to get to grow grass? :lollol:

ive recently scarified my lawn removing thatch and moss - its patchy were there was more moss

I watered it 3 days ago after I scarified it and applied soluble lawn feed and it has not rained since... should i give it a little spray now? or do I wait?

    thanks

How often should you water your lawn ?
For lush, green grass, all day everyday.
But that's not practical. How much you water is up to you. Grass will take all the water you can give it, and survive if you give it none - but maybe not look good.
As I said, the watering is up to you and what you want to achieve - grass wise.

I'm not watering mine at all at the moment, haven't since the hosepipe ban, we're getting enough rain!

    That's a sensible arrangement.

It's no use waiting until it goes "a bit brown" as it takes ages to recover.

The problem is when people have water meters, it's natural to be a bit "mean" with it and the garden can suffer.

I'm old enough to remember when the water rates were still included in the general rate. I'm now paying more for water each month than what was my mortgage payments when we first bought this house.

Of course "that was when deck chairs were 7/6d"

(sorry, an incident many years ago from my working life came into mind).

    Hello everyone!

There are lots of ways in watering it, you should water it first in the morning to avoid fungus. and water only at least 1 inch of water and let it dry out.

Since, i'm new here..just want to ask if when could i put sigs here? are there any limits?

    Thanks a lot!

To Elaborate on my Early post. i had a Rotary Mower which i found was hacking the grass and leaving a
Torn finish which did yellow very quickly i started to hose after each cut and this made a vast improvement
to the lawn. i purchased a Cylinder lawn mower this year and the cut is far Superior. i still hose after each cut, but the lawn is like a Bowling Green, and also hardly any weeds,Buttercups/Daisies and the likes.:thmb: music .
