I have a pile of red garden chips I'd like to re-use, but they're mixed up with mud and leaf-debris. I've made a start riddling them, but they're quite damp and I wondered if anyone knew a quicker way to get them clean? There's about a ton and a half, so riddling will take forever!

Lol CG all I can suggest is doing it the old fashion way by hand even with a heap that size on a good day you could clear a nice bit of it surely?

Not everyone's cup of tea but I don't mind getting mucky (in the garden that is :D) and find my knee pads a godsend!

You never know some kind soul might come along and suggest another way more pleasing for you to have a go at.Hel.xxx

    Beware!
I washed through (with water) a pile of red chips that I was given - barrowed from a neighbours driveway. The water ran into a flower bed and nothing grew there last year at all.
