    Hi

My first attempt at a veg patch is going quite well - pots, garlic, carrots, lettuce, caulis, sprouts, peas, runners.

I water the bed often but should I be feeding them? if so, how and with what?

    Thanks

This year, I'm using Vitax Q4, a pelleted fertiliser I saw being used by the staff at Barton Grange, a very classy garden centre in Lancashire. I'm using it for shrubs, veg and flowers and it seems to be having a very positive effect.

Just sprinkle on the surface of the soil at the recommended rate, hoe it in and then water as normal.

Cool. Never heard of it - but a great sounding name! Sounds perfect - I'll pick some up...

I use Growmore as well, cheap as chips and really easy.
