    Hi Everyone
I am just about to plant ny Falstaff climbing rose to grow up and over an archway.

Do I plant it slanting towards the arch or just straight into the soil.

    Many thanks
hoping for a quick answer ;)

dig the hole so the plant is sloping towards whatever its going to climb up Stingo.approx 18in away from the support so that the ground around the roots has enough rainfall. ;)

Climbing roses love to have their branches bent, this increases the sap flow and you get more shoots. It is not always possible to do this with a new plant - depends on how big your branches are.
