I've just recently planted this tree that arrived as a bare root plant from Parkers. I ordered Prunus Kiki-Shidare-Zakura but received Prunus Serrulata Kiku-Shidare instead. I've assumed they ran out of the original variety and sent this as a replacement so am hoping it has similar characteristics. I believe this is a grafted plant - will try to post further pictures showing base. I've left the original cane support and ties in place as I'm unsure what I need to be doing with it in order to train it into the correct shape. Would anyone who has had one of these trees as a bare root have any tips they could share with me, please?

Not sure I understand what you mean by "training" it? As a weeping tree I assume it would do that on it's own? :noidea: Hopefully someone with experience will be able to give you a more informed answer :)

My only advice is to keep it well watered for the first year.

I assume you have now fastened it to the support, using the large green band on the floor, not too tightly so it digs in, wind rock will stop it rooting. As @"M" says make sure it is kept moist, not a problem at the moment but once we head to spring. I have a very similar tree and they will just "weep". Some pruning may be neccessary but not for quite some time.

Many thanks for your replies, much appreciated and apologies for being unclear. Attached is a photo of it with the ties cut and cane now removed. As you can see its branches ping out from above and below the green tie. Disappointingly, I noticed a canker on the trunk so not feeling too optimistic about this plant's future.
(I ordered a buddleia flower power at the same time and wasn't impressed with what I received. Looks rather spindly to say the least.)
Anyhow, this is the cherry so I guess we'll see how it goes as the seasons progress...

This is mine, the name seems very similar, planted 2008, never done anything to it, this year I have cut all the branches back as they were growing along the ground, I kept tripping on them ,, I will see what happens this spring but I assume it may take a year or two to come back.
