It all started at midnight when Magic Sam didn't / wouldn't come in. We called and called but with no success. We went to bed, between the two of us getting up every 30 minutes and going outside calling, nothing! At 3.15am, t'other half went outside and opened the shed ... and guess who was locked in there ?????

This afternoon went to check out the new Aldi opened yesterday ... what a waste of time ... bought four tins of cat food (flat pack, 100g @ 24c / 17p each) and a tin of olives with pimentos. Onward to the new Leroy Merlin opened yesterday ... wrong, now it's opening Monday! Two disappointments! Ah, ha, to a garden centre / tropical plants / unusual plants / etc ... success .... bought a Penta (red) Rondeletia leucophylla (Egyptian Star Cluster), 70cm tall, 3 roots in the potj (20cm). Now have to find where to put it !!!! Only 4 Euros (£2.80)!

Bad new on arriving back, phone call from England and good friend has lung cancer ..... now have a large G&T and big sigh.

My day has mostly been spent driving into London (Westminster) to look at a big job.

Took the customer with me (who is the contractor and is subbing it to me), and he got us to stop on the way out at a 'Sweets' manufacturers. He bought me a dish of Lebanese pastry sweets, they are LOVELY !!!

    BTW, his parents were Lebanese.

Well, after the usual get up and get the kids to school and me to work, I finally got home around 2 (1 1/2 hours late), hung some washing out, went and got kids from school, couldn't bothered to cook tea, so we swung by McD's for a drive through (we don't usually do McD's, but this was an emerency 'coz I'm shattered with a "K"!!!), then drove down the beach, found a picnic table and RELAXED!!!!!! ........ It was beautiful down there, but a bit on the cool side!!!! We watched the ships go up and down the Solent for a while, then got back in the car and came home... have to collect No2 son in a few minutes, then swimming club.....

Paladin ... five hours is a long time and please give him all good wishes for a speedy recovery from Portugal (whoops, unless he's an avid footballer and hates this country at the moment!).

    Esperamos muitos melhores ....

What the lad needs at the moment is lots of TLC and plenty of ice cream to help him recover Slurp...

Thats if he is allowed or feels like any solids at the moment.

I wish him a speedy recovery and best wishes xxx
