 As some of you will remember we went to Jamaica for our holiday earlier this year. It was my first time going there, & I fell in love with the place & people & of course we have friends there...
Some Ex-Pats & some Jamaican. Thay are all around the southern coast & Negril.. Right in the path
The wall of the eye is just passing south of Kingston as I type this... I spoke to one friend earlier today & she was of to an evacuation centre. They are a very frightened people at this time. But I am worried about another friend who is overdue with a baby... I hope she safe & doesn't have the baby....! :(

We also have a boat out there.. I hope there is something of it left in the morning...!!

By morning we will know how bad it was perhaps. Well my prayers are with them all there tonight as they need them.. This will be their worst storm since 1950....!!! :(

[IMG] Thanks for your concern everyone... Now I have to wait until we can make contact with one or some of them.... It is only 4am there at the moment so shan't know anything until later.....
There is no power & the cell phone network is still down.... :(
It is very hard now to just sit & wait..... I am just hoping & praying they are all alright.... Especially the expectant Mum...!!!!!! :(

[IMG] [IMG] Well I have spoken to one of my friends...!!! The winds were very frightening where she was, but there is no flooding where she is... Her house survived intact as well. There is flooding in other areas where we have friends & as yet have not managed to get through.. It is cell phones only that are working & only a few of them so far. They have to repair allot of masts, so maybe tommorrow..

I still do not know if the baby has arrived yet though.... [IMG] Will let you know, but the Kingston area & Alligator Pond area were badly hit. Some of our friends are in the Alligator Pond area.
[IMG] Waiting is the game now I think
