Has anyone planted up bowls of hyacinths for Christmas flowering? I'm a bit disappointed because the three bowls of bulbs and four glass vases I put in the dark on 1st September are unlikely to be flowering for Christmas. They were all prepared bulbs and I brought them out into the warm two weeks ago but they are slow to grow. Any tips anyone? I'll post a picture tomorrow.

Dont try to rush them, if they arn't going to flower in time for Christmas, then they arn't, if you bring them on too quickly warmth wise, you'll get long leaves with the flowers hidden.
    Keep em cool.

Thanks Pete - they won't flower for Christmas but it's something to look forward to afterwards. They are not in the warm most of the time because our central heating is programmed for early morning and evenings. I'll wait until I have flowers before posting a picture.
