hyacinthus and tulips - plants or bulbs?

I want to buy hyacithus and tulips looking forward to 2025 but i dont know what would be the best option. Buy the bulbs now and plant it, or wait till 2025 and buy some plants that are already grown?

I would buy them now. Buying already potted up can be pretty pricey, and you have a worse choice. As bulbs there are a good range available - and as garden centres have switched over to selling Christmas tat, you might find bargains

 

I have bought the odd hyacinth for indoors after Christmas, but for outdoor growing planting dormant bulbs is best IMO.

 

Farmer Gracy has an end of season sale. Worth a look. And I got a coupon for a discount from the t'internet. If you leave your items in your basket for a day or so, they also entice you with another 5% off.

 

There's a lot more choice in dried bulbs, but perhaps not now as it's a bit late and some might have sold out. On the plus side, what's left is often reduced to clear because they won't keep for another season. It's also a bit late for planting hyacinths, but fine for tulips (which reminds me, there's a bag of them in the shed).

 

There are lots of suppliers online who will still have bulbs @Javidr, but as said - you may be limited now if you wanted something specific, especially with hyacinths and tulips.
You could look at F. Gracy, as mentioned, plus Nyssens, Avon, GeeTee and Broadleigh.

I've often picked up bits and pieces in spring, cheaply, in supermarkets etc. but, as @JennyJB says, there's a limit to what you would get.
