would like to know what is the difference
    between hybrid tea and floribunda

    do you have a preference
    its the size of flower.?
is one better than the other for colour.?
if you were making a rose bed, what would be your choice?
before i start would like to know your ideas
remember i face north sea, would this make a difference, cold icy winds.
lastly what do you reckon is a reasonable price to pay.thanks kathy

Hi Kathy Try This Site It helped me many moons ago www.rose-roses.com
My preference Is a personal one ,I use mostly Hybrid Teas(Large Flowers Singly or small clusters). But I have a few Floribunda ,s (Small flowers in Large clusters) and of course several Climbers. That Is my choice,I Think that Hybrid Teas are neater in a Rose bed and I love the large Flowers But i fear many will disagree with me.This is only my personal choice. Many roses are suitable for North facing with a reasonable amount of Sun,Colours are down to the Individual They are all Wonderful In their own way and Price wise well thats another question I have one that I Purchased for 99p which rewards me year after year and one that cost 20 times that ,anywhere between that Is reasonable to me
but maybe not to someone else.Hope this has been of some Help. [IMG]

I like the old shrub roses like Rosa mundi and Rosa rubrifolia, the scent is superb.

    hi Woo
what a bargain i got today,
went to homebase and out side they had loads of stuff half price, roses said £5.99,so i took one inside and asked -is this the full price or has it still to be halved, she scanned it and told me no thats the price, luckily the garden manager was standing nearby, and he told me no they are not in the sale, took him outside and showed him the sign, i won got 8 roses for £2-99 each
i am really quite excited about that
    kathy
