Hi, I have been given a Hydrangea as a gift, I am not really a Hydrangea fan, but this one is quite beautiful (cream florets or bracts) is it possible to keep it as a house plant, and what requirments would it need...I supose there is a hint in the name, they need lots of water do they ?
    Many thanks Poppy33 [IMG]

I wouldn't fancy trying to keep one as a house plant. They need space and cool moist conditions with part sun to dappled shade to really thrive. They also do better in ericacious compost but that's not a problem for a pot or container.

Nothing is impossible though and doubtless someone has a Hydrangea growing away happily indoors :D
