    Hi everyone

I have a buitiful Hydrangea bush and I have this week noticed an infestation of white eggs under all the leaves and on the stem. They are quite large being bigger than grains of white rice. I have not noticed them in any of the previous 20 years. Any ideas on what it might be and how to treat it?

    Many thanks

Softish looking pinkish things that bleed red if you crush them?

Try. *If* that is the case it's a thing that attacks hydrangeas now and then and can be nasty if it is not stopped very soon. Provado may work. This comes in "pills" to put in the ground.

Thank you for the advice I will try crushing a few tonight. Do you know the name of the pest?

Well, if it is the thing I think it is it is called cocciniglia in italian... Surely it also has a name in english... but I don't know. Very helpful, I know. Check, because I am not sure without a picture, but the only egg like thing I can think of is this.
