I have purchased a stunning Hydrangea Macrophylla Snow which has pure white blooms. This may seem like a stupid question but i know the colour of hydrangea changes in different soil types. Do i have to worry about this, or should I just go ahead and plant into some general compost? Also, i am going to pot it in a larger pot but wondered if I should do this immediately, or leave it in the pot it's in until Autumn. If anyone has any advice I'd be most grateful.

    Cheers,
    Ian

Only pink/blue change colour. White stays white as far as I know.

      It will stay White

Usually when you buy plants they are nearing the end of their time in the current pot size, so I would expect it needs potting on. Turn it upside down, Knock pot off (upwards!), check the roots - if the rootball is not yet pretty busy then gently lower the pot back on and turn it right-side-up again, if it is full of roots then pot-on to a bigger pot.
