Is that common do you think? I bought absolutely LOADS of seeds from Ebay and a big envirolite and have set aside a walk in cupboard (kind of like a larder with shelves) where I have put loads of seed trays with lavender, carrots, bluebells, tomatoes, nasturtium, foxgloves, snapdragons and too many to mention really.

My idea is that when they get strong and big enough I'll put them in the garden but today when I checked one of my lavender trays I found a tiny little mushroom there too! It's minute. Only about a few millimetres high. It looks kind of cute. Pure white, like a little bead on a stem.

I wonder if I could leave it there and just stick it somewhere in the garden out of the way when it's big enough?

Probably a spore imported with your compost it's not worth bothering with it wouldn't transplant very well if at all.
