Get them going in the greenhouse, then feed like crazy and put them outside, before they get leggy. Yes in full sun, they wont be woppers, but I bet they still flower, but late.
O.K. What's it worth for us not to tell BBM that naughty daddy didn't put a stake in the pot :D Looking at the plants I'd be tempted to try putting a stake in and pulling them upright. They may come away again. If that fails a snip at the bend just above a leaf joint might work and produce a two headed SF. And hedge your bets with Pete's suggestion. Best of luck!
Not like you to give in BM - yu don'tget a plot like yours by giving in!!! I am sure you will come up with something creative. Hang in there!
My guess is that staking the plants and supporting the bent part with a splint should get them growing straight again. Once it gets strong enough then you can remove the splint to allow growth. It's only a dead stick if it's dry and crispy, all the while it's green there's hope.
YES!! Exactly Frogesque... strapping and taping sport style should get them back in the game in no time BM
Agree with Frogesque and Jay. I sowed some sunflower seeds recently in the greenhouse, they germinated within 2 days and are now 3" high: I am just hoping for seedheads for the birds before winter. Attack on both fronts!
