I've been after another bird table for a while now after my last one collapsed, I'd seen the cheap ones in Home Bargains and the likes for around £10, but they are very flimsy.

In our local pet shop there were some lovely looking ones that were £45 last autumn, a bit too expensive for me, however they were reduced to £25 just before Christmas; now I was getting tempted but I held off for a bit longer and was beginning to think of knocking one up myself.

But walking past the said petshop today I saw one of these bird tables near the counter with "too clear" on it, I couldn't make out the price so I popped in.......£7.50 !!! it was the last one, a display model ~ I didn't even think about it - 'bought', all it needs is the top tightening as it's a bit loose, so 4 small corner braces from Wilkos for less than £2 will sort that.......Happy Days......:yess::D :dbgrtmb:

I was thinking you got lucky at a bird table, Bilbo, but reread the title and got a different meaning!!!:heehee::D

At £7.50p you couldn't lose. It would cost more than that to make a good solid one yourself.!! It's great when you get a bargain, especially if you weren't looking for them!!
